Privacy Policy

Effective September 8, 2026. This replaces all previous versions.

Associated Konsultants, LLC (“we”, “us”) advises businesses on security and risk. We think a privacy policy should be readable by the person it affects, so this one is written plainly and kept short.

Questions about anything here: ClientServices@akonsultants.com, or Associated Konsultants, LLC, PO Box 68417, Oro Valley, AZ 85737.

What we collect, and when

When you book a call. Our scheduling page asks for your name, email address, phone number, and short answers to two questions about your situation. We use this to prepare for and hold the call.

When you contact us directly. If you email, call, or use a form on this site, we keep what you send us so we can respond and maintain a record of the conversation.

Automatically, when you visit. Our web server records the usual technical details of each request: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the referring page. We also use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and how visitors arrive. Analytics data is aggregated — it tells us that forty people read a page, not who they were.

We do not collect payment details through this website, and we do not ask you for sensitive personal information here.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish one visit from another. That is the only non-essential cookie category this site uses.

You can refuse them without losing anything: most browsers can block cookies, and Google publishes an opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout (opens in a new tab). The site works normally either way.

Or switch it off for this site alone. Open akonsultants.com/?ga=off and analytics stops for the browser you are using, and stays stopped. akonsultants.com/?ga=on turns it back on. Your choice is remembered by your own browser and is never sent to us — so once you have made it, we cannot tell that you did.

What we do with it

We use what you give us to answer you, to prepare for meetings, and to deliver work you have engaged us for. We use analytics to make the site more useful.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade, or share it for anyone else’s marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list because you booked a call.

Who else sees it

Two service providers process data on our behalf:

  • Microsoft — scheduling and email. Booking details are held inside our own Microsoft 365 environment rather than a third-party scheduling service.
  • Google — website analytics.

Beyond those, we disclose personal information only if the law requires it, or in response to a valid legal or governmental process. If that happens and we are permitted to tell you, we will.

How long we keep it

  • Booking and enquiry records: 24 months from last contact.
  • Analytics data: retained for 14 months, to provide trending analysis of the website.
  • Client engagement records: retained for the life of the engagement and afterwards as our professional and contractual obligations require.

How it is protected

We advise other businesses on this, so it would be poor form not to state our own measures.

This site is served only over an encrypted connection, with HTTP Strict Transport Security enforced. It sends a full set of security response headers. Administrative access requires multi-factor authentication and is limited to named accounts, reviewed periodically. Booking and email data resides within our own Microsoft 365 tenant.

No system is perfectly secure, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. These are the measures we take.

Your choices

Write to ClientServices@akonsultants.com and you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We will respond within thirty days. There is no charge, and asking costs you nothing in how we deal with you afterwards.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights. We will honor a valid request whether or not a specific law compels us to.

Children

This site is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the effective date above. Material changes will be noted here rather than made quietly.
