What the work actually produced.

Two engagements described in detail, four clients in their own words, and one thing this page deliberately doesn’t contain.

The thing we can’t show you

Most consultancies publish a sample report. We don’t, and you should want to know why.

Every out-brief Associated Konsultants produces is marked non-publicly releasable. It is a document that says, in specific terms, where a named business is weak — and some of what it names may still be open. Publishing one as a marketing sample, even with the name removed, would tell the internet where to push. Redaction is a poor defense against a determined reader with a search engine.

So the case studies below describe scope, method and outcome in full, and describe findings only in aggregate. That is the same protection your report will get, and our ethical commitment to all our clients.

What we will tell you is exactly what one contains — the sections, the scoring, the structure — without a word of anyone’s data in it.

Security, Risk & Business Needs Assessment · February 2025 · Tucson, Arizona

Green Valley Cooling & Heating — and the provider who did the work

Green Valley already had an IT provider they were happy with. They wanted an independent read on where they actually stood — across operations, infrastructure, security protocols and company policy, not just the network.

They scored above most organizations of their size and sector. There were specific gaps, in five control areas, with a clear order to address them.

Then their own provider carried out every short-term recommendation, and we were paid for nothing but the assessment.

That is the entire independence claim on this website, demonstrated instead of asserted. No firm whose assessment exists to sell the remediation contract can show you this, because for them it would represent a failure.

Technology build, security and functional CIO · 2017–2019 · Anonymized at the client’s request

A nationwide community solar company — two years in the CIO chair

A community solar business launching nationally, in one of the most regulated industries in the country, handling credit card data, banking information, personal identifiers and signed authorization records across states with different rules about all of it.

Associated Konsultants came through the board’s vetting process and took on the whole technology function: built and secured the environment, put employee access controls in place specifically to keep the company clear of regulatory violation, and held the functional Chief Information Officer role for two years.

The engagement concluded in 2019, once the launch, infrastructure, security and operational objectives had been met. Staying longer would have been billing for presence rather than value.

Clients, in their own words

On the assessment

“We wanted an objective, third-party assessment of our organization to identify potential vulnerabilities across our operations, IT infrastructure, security protocols and company policies. Anthony and his team conducted a comprehensive audit and provided clear, actionable recommendations to strengthen our security, streamline our processes and reduce organizational risk. He didn’t simply identify concerns; he took the time to provide realistic strategies we could put into action. Make the call — having an experienced outside perspective is invaluable.”

On what happens when something goes wrong

“A very official-looking email from one of our contractors, with a PDF contract we were expecting, turned out to be malicious — and before we knew it there were files downloading and installing. We immediately shut down the computer and called Anthony. We got an immediate response. He responds and works very quickly. We didn’t end up in a queue for answers. If you’re weighing up whether to make that call: call Anthony immediately.”

On not waiting

“I was experiencing significant problems with my computer system. It had become locked up, and I was concerned that the system and connected devices were not properly secured. I needed a trusted professional who could evaluate the situation, identify the security risks and recommend the right solution. I would tell anyone not to wait when it comes to protecting their technology and data. Having a knowledgeable and trustworthy professional evaluate the problem can prevent a small issue from becoming a much larger one. The level of service has consistently been outstanding — the responsiveness, the professionalism, and the knowledge.”

Walter HillExecutive Director, SEBA

On eight years of it

“Our previous IT consultant was unable to support our company’s evolving needs and was not consistently available when issues arose. Our server had reached capacity and our security protections needed strengthening. Anthony transitioned our business to Microsoft 365, moved our archive folders to the cloud, expanded our server capacity, and implemented firewalls and two-factor authentication. We have worked with Anthony for the past eight years. He consistently goes above and beyond — computer selections, software updates, potentially fraudulent emails, and any other technology issue that arises. He is available when we need him.”

What these have in common

Read together, the two case studies answer the two questions every prospect actually has.

Can I trust the advice? Green Valley. Someone else did the work, and that was the plan from the start.

Can one person handle something serious? The solar company. Two years as functional Chief Information Officer of a regulated national business, and a system 450 people worked in every day.

And every client above described the same thing in different words: someone who answered, in plain language, without a queue and without a quota.

Twenty minutes.

No cost, no presentation. We work out whether there’s a fit — and if there isn’t, I’ll say so and point you somewhere better.
