Find out what’s actually exposed — from someone who isn’t selling you the solution.
A CISSP with thirty years in security leadership — including as CISO for one of the world’s largest defense manufacturers — reviews your network and your facility, along with your people and processes. You get a written report that says what’s at risk, what to fix first, and what each fix costs.
The report is yours. Hire Associated Konsultants to carry it out, or take it to any firm you like.
No cost. No presentation. We both find out whether there’s a fit.

Who this is for
You run a business with somewhere between a handful and a few hundred people. You have real exposure — client data, money moving, a building people walk into — and nobody whose job it actually is to worry about it.
So you ask your IT provider, and they tell you what to buy. You ask a managed services company, and they quote you a monthly contract. Both answers might even be right. But neither person in that conversation gets paid for telling you that you’re fine.
That’s the job I do.
How it works
Two conversations before anything costs you a thing. Only then does anything get a number — a fixed number, agreed in writing before any work starts.
- Virtual meet and greet 15–20 minutes · no cost
- An hour at your place Questions both ways, and I look at what you actually have · no cost
- Proposal Fixed hours, fixed cost, a date — in writing, signed by both parties
- Security, Risk & Business Needs Assessment The paid engagement. Findings, scorecards, and a prioritized out-brief with costs — which belongs to you
- Implementation Optional. Us, your existing provider, or in-house — your choice
- Ongoing managed services For clients we have assessed
Three things that are true here and nowhere else in this market
The report belongs to you
Hire us to carry out the recommendations, hire someone else, or do it in-house. The advice doesn’t change either way, because it was never written to sell you the next thing.
A managed services provider assessing your environment is producing a document that leads to a contract with them. That isn’t dishonesty — it’s their business model. It does mean you’re reading a sales proposal in the clothes of an assessment.
The review doesn’t stop at your network
Your network isn’t the only way in. The review also covers your facility, your hiring and termination practices, your emergency procedures, and who can walk through your front door — with a specialist alongside me when the work calls for one. On a recent assessment that was a retired FBI agent with more than twenty years in physical security.
No one else in this market does the second half.
We don’t make money on what we recommend you buy
No margin on hardware. No margin on software. One exception, and you should know about it: Microsoft 365 and Azure licensing, where our clients pay less than Microsoft’s own direct price and we keep the small difference. You’re free to buy direct from Microsoft and stay a client.

Green Valley Cooling & Heating
A full assessment. Their own IT provider then carried out every short-term recommendation — and we were paid for the assessment and nothing else.
A nationwide community solar company
Built and secured the whole technology environment, held the Chief Information Officer role for two years, and designed the enrollment portal 450 sales representatives worked in. Enrollment time went from 20–30 minutes to 5–7.
“A very official-looking email from one of our contractors, with a PDF contract we were expecting, turned out to be malicious — and before we knew it there were files downloading and installing. We immediately shut down the computer and called Anthony. We got an immediate response. He responds and works very quickly. We didn’t end up in a queue for answers. If you’re weighing up whether to make that call: call Anthony immediately.”

What I do
Security, Risk & Business Needs Assessment
The way in, and the only thing a new client buys. Discovery, findings, and a prioritized report with costs against every recommendation. Read more →
Implementation
Carrying out the recommendations. Same agreement, fixed hours agreed first.
Ongoing managed IT services
For clients we’ve assessed: the full suite, shaped around your business rather than sold by the seat. It costs less per hour the longer it runs, because the work gets more efficient in an environment we’ve re-engineered. Every per-seat provider gets more expensive as you grow. Read more →
Security awareness training and executive digital footprint work
Personal exposure removal for owners, physicians, attorneys, judges and their families.
None of it is available without an assessment first. That’s not a sales rule — it’s that I don’t recommend work on a business I haven’t looked at.
Who you’d be working with
Thirty years in security and technology leadership. IT Security Director and Chief Information Security Officer for one of the world’s largest defense manufacturers. Vice President and Chief Information Officer at a global medical diagnostics company. Engineering and software leadership in aerospace before that. CISSP. InfraGard and ACTRA member. Quoted in Computerworld and CIO Magazine, and a national keynote speaker.
Associated Konsultants was founded in August 1983, and has been based in Tucson since 1993.
When an engagement needs expertise I don’t personally hold, I bring in a specialist I’ve worked with for ten or twenty years. They join our first video call, so nobody unfamiliar turns up at your door on the day.
Questions
- How long does an assessment take?
- Six to eight hours on site, then seven to ten days to produce the report, then a meeting to walk you through it. About two weeks from signature.
- What does it cost?
- It depends on your size and complexity, which is why we don’t quote before seeing what we’ll be assessing. You’ll have a fixed, written number before any work begins.
- We already have an IT provider.
- Good — that’s often why people call. An assessment isn’t a replacement. It’s an independent read on whether what you’re paying for does what you need, and your provider may well end up carrying out the recommendations.
- Do you only work in Tucson?
- No. Associated Konsultants is based in Tucson, with clients across the country.
Twenty minutes.
That’s the whole first step. No cost, no presentation, no obligation — we work out whether there’s a fit, and if there isn’t I’ll tell you.
